This is a technique for making paper airplanes that look like almost any aircraft in the world, and the best part is they actually fly. All you need is a piece of paper, a pair of scissors, a small piece of tape, and access to a printer if you want it to have a paint job.

WOW! This is a pretty cool video of a 777 & 747 SP landing in a cross winds down in Brazil. This little item shows the Boeing factory determining the demonstrated crosswind landing limits on the 777 and the 747SP. The engineers make educated guesses, but then the test crews have to go actually prove the numbers. They sneak off to Brazil to do these tests at a certain remote BAF airbase famous for its continual atrocious crosswinds…Should the gear sideloads be excessive and fold one up, there is nobody there to take nasty pix for the Airbus guys to wave around in the press.

This is some good piloting in getting these planes down. It comes close to “incredible”…. tire change anybody????

If you haven’t seen these it’s pretty amazing to watch planes of this size crab walking in on a landing. I can hear the whole crew and the pilot just yelling “Yeehaaaa” at the top of their lungs.

Note the rudder action on landing.

PS: I suspect that the pilot and co pilot are wearing Depends.

The challange was to do the impossible, fly a huge aerobatic RC-plane under Stockholm through a 3.9km long tunnel called Södra länken.

The plane is 80″ wide and weighs 13lb. The mighty electric motor provides 35lb of thrust and a topspeed closer to 120mph.

It is a 4 channel micro electric indoor VTOL
It has 3 micro gyros that keep it as steady as a rock in the air, ground effect isn’t a problem so you can hover inches off the ground. It’s auto stabilization is amazing push on it and it pushes back to stabilize itself, it’s very cool. When you order it you can select to have either a mode 1 or mode 2 transmitter. Mode 1 has throttle on the right stick, mode 2 has throttle on the left stick.

It comes with the aircraft, replacment blades, a transmitter and a wall socket charger with an adapter for most major countries.
At the moment it is only available through snelflight.
They helped develop the aircraft and their customer support is amazing they are the best place to get one. They ship very quickly, usually in less then a week. But delivery times will vary depending on the postal service in your country.

It is controlled via IR, but an RF upgrade will be coming out later this year,
The IR signal is very powerful and it works well in the home, but if you want to fly it out doors or in large open areas you will want to upgrade it to RF.
