Thanks Cindy! I don’t remember an announcement on this flight, but on other flights there have been. As far as the cell phone, there were a couple of occasions I forgot to turn it off, but there were absolutely no bars both times. The fuselage acts as a huge faraday cage, not letting signals in and out too easily. It is amazing in a way people were able to use cell phones from planes during 9-11. Maybe they had better service than I do lol.

    Great video Chris. …
Great video Chris. I can’t believe you also got the landing. It was smooth. This was a great vid idea. I flew once and it wasn’t a smooth landing like this. Someone mentioned that the Pilot didn’t even announce, “Prepare for landing.” Maybe, you edited that out. It was so clear even when you were around 33,000 feet. I did want to hear what it would be like to hear someone on the flight because of all the phone calls made during 911. Did you try to use a cell phone? Just curious.

FYI, those “flaps” that come up during landing are called “spoilers”.

    The pilot doesn’t …
The pilot doesn’t announce turn off all electronic devices. All the pilot does is announce “flight attendants prepare for landing” and they flight crew makes the announcement, but not all the time. In this video there is no such announcement.
