are you more likely to get into a gondola accident or an airplane crash? Why are airplane cabin lights turned off during landing and take off at night time?

i was looking at some videos on CNN and a large chunk of them had to do with minor airplane crashes and emergancy landings. are they trying to scare people?
well airplane crashes/malfunctions that are small have always been reported locally, now its all international news

because people want to know what is going on in the world around them. It isn’t to scare them. If they went unreported and somehow the public found out, there would be uproar because people would wonder why it wasn’t reported!

What do you want them to report on, live coverage of nose picking.

Try owning an organization like CNN and tell your "hired help" what to report on, they quit and you’ll have to do all the reporting yourself. You’ll probably fail at turning a profit and fail at reliably reporting the news.

Ever thought of turning the channel to a movie you’d find interesting.

    Because they’re ‘flashy’.
The media news isn’t about necessary information anymore,
or what’s useful, or even what we need to know,
it’s about what they think will draw a crowd.
