I would recoomend … I would recoomend some hours spent at the simulator before flying such a great airplane. Pretty big waste. I hope the pilot learned his lesson here. First practice, then go airborne!
Sometimes people … Sometimes people slow down too much in a tailwind, for they are under the impression that the plane is plenty fast while really the airspeed is already low. There is no difference aerodynamically whether the wind is on the nose or on the tail, it’s just the groundspeed that changes and that is the only speed an RC pilot “sees”.
Funny thing is it … Funny thing is it crashed in the same way as that real B52 at the 1994 Fairchild Air Force Base show.
Lucky this wasn’t flight AF 296, or 3 people would be dead!
